Testicular Cancer


 

Overview:

Cancer of the testes is when the cells in the testes grow uncontrollably, and abnormally. These abnormal cells can create tumors.

Symptoms:

Most forms of cancer do not display any symptoms until detected by your doctor. However, some of the following may indicate Testicular Cancer.

  • A lump or swelling in the testicle, often painless.
  • Discomfort or pain in the scrotum
  • Collection of fluid in the scrotum
  • Pain or discomfort in the lower back, pelvis, groin area, or abdominal area

Possible Diagnostic Tests:

  • Physical Exam
  • Ultra sound of the testes
  • Blood Test
  • Biopsy: the removal of tissue to look for cancer cells.
