Overview:
Cancer of the testes is when the cells in the testes grow uncontrollably, and abnormally. These abnormal cells can create tumors.
Symptoms:
Most forms of cancer do not display any symptoms until detected by your doctor. However, some of the following may indicate Testicular Cancer.
- A lump or swelling in the testicle, often painless.
- Discomfort or pain in the scrotum
- Collection of fluid in the scrotum
- Pain or discomfort in the lower back, pelvis, groin area, or abdominal area
Possible Diagnostic Tests:
- Physical Exam
- Ultra sound of the testes
- Blood Test
- Biopsy: the removal of tissue to look for cancer cells.
